Gerard Cerniak
Internal Medicine

Dr. Gerard Cerniak received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois, in 1965. He received his medical degree from Loyala University, Stritch School of Medicine, in 1969. Dr. Cerniak completed his internship in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic, Department of Internal Medicine, in Rochester, Minnesota. He also did a fellowship in gastroenterology at Hines Hospital in Maywood, Illinois, in 1974.

Dr. Cerniak is board certified in Internal Medicine and since 1974 he has been the attending physician in the Occupational Medicine/ Gastroenterology Department at the Joliet Medical Group, Ltd.
