Dr. Michael Cohen received his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, in 1986. He received his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzer School of Medicine, in 1990. Dr. Cohen did his residency in orthopedic surgery at Loyola University in 1995. He also completed a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Chicago, Department of Orthopedic Surgery in 1996.

Dr. Cohen is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has a particular interest in hand and upper extremity injuries. Since 1996 Dr. Cohen has been affiliated with The Joliet Medical Group, Ltd.
