Steven C. Delheimer
Neurosurgeon

Dr. Delheimer received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in 1975. He interned in surgery at Dartmouth Medical Center and did a residency in neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Delheimer has been engaged in the private practice of neurosurgery since 1980, at first in Rockford, Illinois, and now in Peru, Illinois. Dr. Delheimer's practice is limited to surgical problems of the brain and spinal cord. Dr. Delheimer is currently on staff at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru, Community Hospital of Ottawa, BroMenn Healthcare Center and St. Joseph's Hospital in Bloomington/ Normal, Illinois, and is an Assistant Professor with the University of Illinois.

Dr. Delheimer has had post graduate training in chemonucleolysis, laser surgery, cranial base skull surgery, laser disc decompression, percutaneous lumbar disc decompression and advanced techniques in cervical spine decompression and stabilization. Dr. Delheimer has been board certified in neurosurgery since 1984. He is licensed to practice medicine in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Dr. Delheimer does exams in Peru, Chicago, and Bloomington, Illinois.
