BIO-BRIEF
Steven D. Levin,
M.D.
Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Levin obtained his undergraduate
degree in philosophy/biology from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL
and his medical degree from Chicago Medical School in 1985. Internships
have included a general surgery internship at the University of Chicago/
Michael Reese Hospital and a PGY-2 General Surgery at Columbia College
of Physicians and Surgeons, St. Lukes/Roosevelt Hospital in New York.
In addition, Dr. Levin has
done both clinical and research fellowships in Orthopedic Surgery Trauma,
as well as a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and a Shoulder Fellowship
in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
Dr. Levin is licensed to practice
medicine in the State of Illinois and is Board Certified by the American
Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. In addition, he is a Diplomate-National
Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Levin is currently affiliated
with Midwest Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery in Elk Grove Village,
IL. He is an experienced
independent medical examiner whose specialty is in sports medicine involving
shoulder and knee reconstruction.
Dr. Levin has participated
in numerous research studies and has authored many articles on the treatment
