Stephen H.
Treacy, M.D.
Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Treacy attended Illinois
Benedictine College and later the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated
Magna Cum Laude in 1986. He then attended the University of Illinois School
of Medicine in Chicago, where he received his medical degree in 1990.
Internship in general surgery
and orthopaedic surgery residency were both completed at Tulane University
School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals (New Orleans, LA). From 1995-96,
Dr Treacy received sub-specialty training as a sports medicine and arthroscopic
surgeon at the Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson,
MS.
During his college and medical
school training, Dr. Treacy was the recipient of a number of awards including
the Dallas Phemister Resident Research Award (Mid-America Orthopaedic
Association), an Outstanding Resident Award (Touro Infirmary), and the
Owl Club Teaching Award (Tulane University School of Medicine).
Dr. Treacy is board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is certified by
the National Board of Medical Examiners. He holds medical licenses in
Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, and Illinois.
In 1996, Dr. Treacy joined
Rezin Orthopedic Centers, S.C., where he practice medicine out of the
Joliet, Morris and Sandwich, IL offices. He is skilled general orthopedic
surgeon as well as a specialist in sports medicine injuries involving
the knee, shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand.
During his off work hours,
Dr. Treacy volunteers as a sports medicine physician for the Seneca and
Plainfield high schools.
Dr. Treacy is available to
do Independent Medical Examinations in Joliet, Morris, and Sandwich, Illinois.
